I finally got off my lazy ass and got the website back up. The layout isn't the greatest and there are a handful of things I'm not crazy about, but it'll do for now. Hopefully I'll come up with a better design soon. I just wanted to get something back up.

So there. I'm gonna keep this journal around anyways. Who knows? Maybe I'll post some protected entries here or something. Whatev. But from now on, the very large majority of my blogs will be posted there.

Elderly drivers.

I understand, being that I live in one of the nation's top retirement communities, that there are some things that I just have to deal with. I choose to live here (FOR THE TIME BEING!) so I should learn to play nice, right? Ak;lsdhg. WELL, I DON'T WANT TO! There should seriously be a law for this shit. There is a certain age and/or state of mind where elderly drivers should be banned from the road.

This has always been an annoyance of mine, but hasn't really seriously bothered me until recently. Just the other day is pretty much what completely set me off on this topic.

Now, I know the very large majority of you readers clearly aren't from my town and would obviously not be familiar with our streets, but for my sake I am going to write this as specifically as possible. Just bear with me, this is mainly for my own personal venting reasons anyway.

As I was driving down 9th St. on my way home from the office on my lunch, I slowed to turn onto Kingwood. At this particular intersection, it is only a 2 way stop (on Kingwood), 9th St. doesn't have any stops until the main light on Hwy 101 because this is usually the main route the ambulances take when leaving the hospital. As I slowed to turn left on Kingwood, I was unable to complete my turn because there were 2 oncoming cars blocking me, so naturally I slowed to a stop to wait for them. As I was waiting, there were at least a couple cars waiting at the stop signs on Kingwood. The guy waiting on my right went ahead and took his right turn in front of me, which was fine, because I was stopped waiting to turn and he was clear to go. As soon as the 2 cars blocking my turn passed, I started to turn only to be completely cut off by the asshole on my left who was stopped waiting to take a left onto 9th. I think the topic of this post makes the age of the asshole on my right totally clear. Luckily, my reflexes are pretty well excersized having to share the roads in this town daily with these idiots, so I slammed my brakes to a stop in plenty of time but that didn't stop my heart from wanting to hammer out of my chest!

Hello?! What does "Right of Way" mean to these people? Maybe I do have a bit of an advantage being that I am young enough to remember what I learned while reading the Driver's Manual in order to pass my Driving Test but come, the fuck, on. Isn't all that common sense anyway?

Unfortunately, I was driving Eric's car which I'm not technically covered insurance wise on quite yet, and again, it was HIS car and I know how he is about his car. In any another situation (as in me being completely covered on the car and having it not be Eric's) I would have loved to KEEP GOING and rammed right into his car. Call me a crazy bitch, but it would have been totally satisfying to come flying out of my car screaming "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?! Do you NOT know how to fucking drive?" while having their insurance pay for all the damages to my car.

I wasn't even used to the horn on Eric's car! I COULDN'T EVEN LAY ON IT! How disappointing. (He has the type of horn that you have to push one of the two specific buttons off to the side rather than just push generally on the middle.)

The icing on the cake is the look his wife in the passenger seat gave me as I slammed on my brakes and proceeded to yell obscenities through my windshield. The look of, "What the fuck do YOU think you're doing?!" obviously thinking they did nothing wrong. Are you kidding me!?

Another thing that peaks my annoyance while driving in this town is the fact of what a 40MPH speed limit means to these people. 40 miles a fucking hour! Not 30, or God forbid, even 25. Seriously? 25MPH in a 40?! And oh, that seems a bit too fast for you still. No, really? Then why the hell are you swerving all over the damn road like a fucking drunk!?

1. If you can't see over the steering wheel of your ginormous Town Car, maybe you shouldn't be driving?!
2. Seriously. Get the damn little dogs off your lap. It's really not funny anymore.

Oh, and I have to mentioned that on top of this being one of the nation's top retirement communities, we're also a booming tourist town as well. Oh yeah, that's right. We're talking not only are these people driving normal vehicles (if you'd consider a boat of a Town Car a normal vehicle), they're driving HUGE ASS RVS, AS WELL! And don't even get me started on that shit...

Ugh, I really need to get out of this town.

Asjldkgh...

I'm sick.
As in - two and a half days bed ridden, fever chills and hallucinations of big, black, disgusting bugs (cockroaches?) crawling across my ceiling, body aches, an elephant camping inside my sinus cavities and persistent attempts of my body trying to cough up not one, but seemingly, both my lungs - sick.

This morning, like a champ, I slept until noon. I woke up still being able to breathe through my nose (thanks to the horrible burning Afrin I snorted last night) and having the fever chills and body aches still gone (thanks to the Advil PM I also took last night) and decided I'd try to catch up a bit on my feeds, check my mail and at least post something here so you all didn't think I'd died or something which, surprisingly enough due to these recent events, I haven't.

Now, I think it's time to go crawl back into my cocoon of a bed, suck on my bottle of NyQuil (oh, wouldn't that be lovely?) and pass back out. These chills and body aches are creeping back up on me. At least I've managed to get some food in me, a shower can wait another day...

Oh, thank balls it's not Self Portrait Thursday.

I finally did it. I've been trying to pay off and get rid of this thing for 3 years now and I finally fucking did it. Just about 2 months ago, the balance of this credit card was at about $1,100 and now, today, it is ALL. PAID. OFF!

Just look at that. THAT. IS. FUCKING. BEAUTIFUL!!! :D :D :D

*Sigh of relief* Well, one down, one to go... Only on my other one I only owe $600. <3 Oh, what's that? Way up there... See it? I think that just might, yes, it is. It's the light at the end of the tunnel. *Harp plays*

Maybe I just might be able to make it to my goal of becoming debt free by the end of this year. FUCK. YES!

In the meantime...

I'm a female. I'm everywhere. I do everything. All. At. Once. It may be a gift, it may be a curse. Right now I'm leaning toward the latter...

Working 2 jobs and trying to get everything else going in my life right now is proving difficult to find any extra time to manage my entire domain. I'm planning a total redesign and I have a lot of plans and ideas for it, I just don't have the time. Even though I do try to work on things here and there whenever I actually do manage to try to find any time, it's not making the project move along any faster.

In the meantime, I NEED A PLACE TO BLOG! Seriously. I die without an outlet like this. Especially when so much is happening in my life at the moment. LOL!

So here I am. Temporarily. I'm not dead. I'm still here alive and very much kicking. You won't get rid of me without a hell of a fight. So you might as well give up on that...

While JennaJacks.com gets a facelift, Vox is my home for now. :)
